Laguna Beach Art Gallery

This client was looking to open a art gallery to display her watercolor fine art, having owned one many year prior. She has been a long term artist exhibitor at one of the main art festivals in Laguna Beach. She located an available space that was clean and freshly painted ready for move in. On consultation, we explained to her that having the lighting in place first would be the best way to pick the wall color, that would work best with her art.

We installed track lighting, using MR16 daylight corrected Solux halogen bulbs to spot onto the artwork. The colors were painstakingly chosen, so that they would complement the art which were going to be hung. Painting the trim and wall colors the same to keep things consistent.

We constructed a mobile wall to help partition the long room, and to add vital hanging surface. A large walk in closet was retrofitted with slots to store extra artwork. The display window area, we utilized a hanging wire system, which held large art pieces on either side. The client purchased furniture pieces from Ikea, which we assembled for her.

The client has decided to have a Art Jeweler display two cases of their work. We installed them and had to add LED light bars to the cases to help make the jewelry pop.

The open night was a great success, with a full house, and lots of compliments on the overall look and feel of the gallery.
