The clients decided to use two part of the Festival Of Arts 2019 display panels for an update to their gallery. Thus leaving it short for the 2022 festival. So we had to come up with a new design. One of the clients had seen a Vitrine display on line and asked if we could manufacture that locally with some customization. So we works some number magic and the answer was yes.
We went ahead and did a 3D CAD of the proposed layout for the Vitrines as well as the whole display. The clients were very happy with the design. So we put together a budget. That was agreed, then we went to work.
The two Vitrine top cases are fabricated with mild steel angle. Powder coated gold and fitted with 1/4" tempered clear glass on five sides. One of which is a doorway. We fitted LED lighting to the adjacent side corners of the door, top to bottom. These are driven from twin dimmers and a switching power supply attached to the underside of the floor board. The LEDs are color temperature changing from about 2800 to 6000 Kelvin
Both the tops sit on a four legged base frame. These frames are fabricated with flat and angle mild steel and have hand fabricated sheet metal formed tapering legs. Again, powder coated gold. There is a power cord running down one of the legs. Which allows the top to plug in.
The center wall panel was as mentioned from a previous year's build. We flanked that with two fabric covered frames. The frames are made of 2 x 1 soft wood stapled together. Then wrapped with a black cloth first, then the final cloth finish was stapled on. These panels are attached to the wall using Button Fix fasteners.
The display was completed adding velvet covered display boards and back panels in both of the Vitrine tops. Also a mat to the floor, just in case someone drops a piece of jewelry (it happens). Also a nice black cabinet was purchased, which we added electro locks to for security. Either end of the display had gloss black painted end caps
Everyone loved the display, and of course the fabulous jewelry inside. Check out Adam Neeley Fine Art Jewelry. We enjoyed the build, as we always do.
